1. Staff issues: Törkenczy Miklós informs the department that Kiss Zoltán will not be teaching at the department in the next two terms for personal reasons. Dr Kiss will deliver his lectures in the phonological analysis and the typography lecture series though. His three phonology seminars are taken over by Gyarmathy Zsófia, who will also be participating in the examinations. Farkas Judit fell ill again, she has been absent from several examinations she was responsible for in the past exam period and probably will not be able to teach (all) this term. This puts the department in a difficult and grave situation because her classes may have to be cancelled or regularly taught by another teacher.
2. Törkenczy Miklós acknowledges that the usernames and passwords for caesar.elte.hu have arrived.
3. DEAL proposes that we change the furniture of R327 with the fixed desks of one of their seminar rooms. Törkenczy Miklós puts the issue to the vote: 0 yea, 8 nay, 2 abstain.
4. A survey of the numbers of students registering for the department’s courses reveals a surplus of syntax seminars. In the future this issue can be resolved by launching several parallel advanced syntax (BBN–ANG–253) courses.
