movie screening: The Birth of a Nation (2016)
We cordially invite you to the first film club event of the Ethnic and Migration Studies Research Group at the Department of American Studies. The date of the program is September 29 (Thursday), 17:00–20:00, Rákóczi út 5, Building R, Room 315a. The first topic of the film club is The Birth of a Nation (2016). As part of the program, Dr. Dániel Cseh will give a short presentation on the institution of slavery in America and the slave rebellion led by Nat Turner as an introduction to the theme of the movie, which will be followed by the screening of the film and an open discussion afterwards.
